Manager of IT – Subaru.com

General Responsibilities

The Subaru.com IT manager acts as the primary partner to the Subaru business community by understanding business processes, resolving challenges and identifying technological opportunities surrounding customer experience and engagement. The position requires a combination of tactical and strategic skills related to managing team and project activities as well as a vision for future opportunities.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day support of Subaru's customer facing systems. The duties for this role include:

· Managing, enhancing and supporting the functionality and efficiency of the overall Subaru.com platform and all related systems, including those that support the Love Promise and Share the Love initiatives

· Directly managing, developing, and mentoring IT staff, projects, and other resources

· Successfully implementing multiple complex and cross-team technology projects of various sizes from concept to deployment

· Managing relationships with agencies and the Marketing department

· Developing complex ideas and solutions and making recommendations for the projects to support Subaru's corporate goals

· Developing and implementing recommendations to senior management team to increase operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction

· Budgeting and planning for future projects and resources

· Routinely meeting with business stakeholders to evaluate updates and to continuously the enhance Subaru.com with new efficiencies and best practices.

 

Education/Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related technical concentration

· 6 to 8 years of related web development and management experience

· Must have a robust understanding and expertise in expertise in customer facing .com technology and marketing

· Experience playing a key role in the successful migration, implementation and support of a new systems in another organization is ideal

· Evidence of proven leadership within a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment

· Understanding of the sales and marketing process and how a customer facing tool can be used to improve the sales and marketing efforts

· Experience with AEM and/or the Adobe Marketing Cloud is a plus

 

Skill Requirements

· Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities

· Ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets and projections and to present data clearly, concisely, and accurately

· Ability to analyze and report to senior management on project plans, budgets, and projections

· Able to interact positively and effectively with staff at all levels within the organization and vendors

· Manage multiple concurrent projects ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and on-time delivery

· Experience in Project Life Cycle methodology

· Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate actionable analytical findings to a non-technical audience in clear and concise language

· Develop and maintain skills to the highest standards consistent with best practices and emerging trends in customer facing application

· Proficient in the use of tools for creating work breakdown structures, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Must possess demonstrated skills in leadership

· Advance problem-solving skills

· Proven ability to frame a business issue, design the right solution, and deliver results
