Our experienced staff of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Specialists, Parent Partners and other therapists/counselors provide case management, mental health care and a range of support services in schools, homes or other community settings.  Our dedicated teams work collaboratively and in partnership with family members, school administrators and faculty, county social workers, case managers, probation officers and other agencies.


This position has primary responsibility for aiding Administration in overseeing the overall day-to-day operation of the Urgent Care Center and Crisis Walk-in Center (CWIC), assuring compliance with Federal, State, County and local laws and regulations as well as established safety and security policies.

He/she is responsible for:

  • the collaborative supervisor of all facility staff in direct partnership with the department heads, that include: Clinical Supervisor, Nursing Supervisor, Safety Specialist Supervisor and Quality Assurance Supervisor.  

  • collaborating with the Clinical Supervisor for the proper management of the mental health services, case management services and support services provided to clients and their families. 

  • collaborating with the Safety Specialist Supervisor and Quality Assurance Supervisor in the proper management of the services/deliverables expected from each unique department. 

  • fulfilling the role and responsibilities of Clinical Director per Title 22 regulations. 

  • the oversight of the therapeutic programs and provides clinical supervision to clinical staff as is required through the CABBS when needed.  Works in close collaboration with Director of Nursing and Nursing Supervisor to ensure each client receives the appropriate care and treatment consistent with the program's requirements. 

  • the implementation and management of all regulatory requirements as stated by DMH Regulations, Title 9, Patients' Rights, Title 22 regulations as well as other regulatory

  • serving as a liaison to establish and maintain positive relationships with other community providers, community members and other agencies to establish proper continuity of care.  

  • assisting Administration in reviewing and/or creating and updating policy and procedures, reviewing risk management and safety systems, overseeing and coordinating quality assurance and utilization review activities as well as program systems analyses and reviews.  

This position will be based in Lancaster, California in a newly built facility with an anticipated opening in October 2020.  Prior to opening, orientation and training will take place at the Long Beach and City of Industry BHUCC locations.  After opening, travel to the Southern Region headquarters and LADMH will be on an intermittent basis.


Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or equivalent related field required, or master's degree in a Mental Health Field; Licensed as MFT, LCSW or Ph.D. Psychologist required


CA license appropriate to the profession (Clinical Psychology, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) plus two (2) years post-licensure experience with the ability to supervise BBS-registered interns and associates  

Previous in-patient psychiatry experience preferred

Previous leadership experience – at least 2 years in a leadership role


License or Certification

CA License appropriate to the profession (Clinical Psychology, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)

Valid CA Driver's License

Ability to receive and maintain CPR certification


Physical Requirements

Ability to visually and audibly assess behavior and needs as appropriate
