The Role Responsibilities
Capturing the ever-increasing capital flows into Asia, Africa and the Middle East by supporting Multi Nationals (“MNC”) in existing Commercial Banking (“CB”) markets has been identified as a key strategic initiative to support new client origination and accelerate the momentum of Capital-Lite Income. The Network Desk in Germany will enable us to showcase SCB's capabilities in the Commercial Banking footprint markets to key European corporates who are looking to internationalize and not served by Global Banking.
Business § Actively identify, connect and meet German Multi National Corporates (“MNCs”) with significant business interests in CB market to scope out opportunities and help coordinate a cohesive value proposition pitch together with CB Network Relationship Manager's (RMs) § Leverage relationships at Headquarter level to facilitate introductions and connections between decision makers in subsidiary entities and CB Network RMs in the respective markets § Connect and network with the relevant intermediaries in these countries (law firms/ trade bodies etc) who can provide early information as well as leads for new investments into CB markets. § Support CB network countries in organizing roadshows and meetings with the MNC's parent office. § Be the single point of contact for the client's decision makers to originate and coordinate regional and multiproduct activities § Lead, own, enable and drive all commercial deal discussions and actively throw opportunities within the CB footprint markets § Ensure sufficient understanding of client needs, as well as cultural sensitivities / local business practice nuances through regular client calling (including face to face) and ensure this is disseminated and communicated to the Network RMs
§ Manage Group relationships on a portfolio basis as the Global Account Manager § Ensure regular and active coordination with all CB Network Bankers (especially along key corridors) § Enable and ensure adherence to sales discipline in accordance with the CB Sales Management Framework including providing support in Pipeline and Account Planning (if applicable)
No Credit exposure at Group location (Network Desk Location) is expected and credit evaluation at the respective local (CB Footprint market) location will be based on the standalone creditworthiness of the borrower / support § Oversight and accountability for implementation & application of applicable Policies & Procedures from a Network perspective including but not limited to Non- Presence Countries (NPC), Country Engagement Rules (CERs) and other applicable cross border procedures.
Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory conduct and compliance standards and practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines
Embed the Group's values and code of conduct and develop a robust culture to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations.

· Engage with product partners within the region and globally to ensure breadth and depth of client coverage and deepening · Engage with Senior Stakeholders on relevant client account management activities
· Designated point of contact with Corporate clients, acting as a trusted /value added partner to clients · Peers in the Corporate Banking sector
· Embed Here for good and Group's brand and values in CIB Germany · Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures · Proven relevant experience in Corporate / Commercial / SME Banking / financial services in relationship management / product sales and / or product roles · Good understanding of client on-boarding processes and policies · Self-driven individual with strong problem solving and execution skills · Team player – ability to collaborate and coordinate with colleagues at all levels
Language Skills – English and German are mandatory
