Our 540 Bed Trauma Level 1 acute care hospital offers a wide range of services and is part of an organization with 6 acute care facilities, over 10,000 team members and 400 volunteers. Our Medical Telemetry Trauma/Surgical/Reconstructive unit has 28 Tele monitored beds.   in state-of-the-art rooms set up specifically for our nurses.  The typical Nurse to Patient Ratio is 1:4/5 (depending upon acuity) and this unit's case types include Trauma, Step Down Critical Care patients, Weight Loss, Reconstructive Surgery (Breast, Trauma, Wound, Cancer, etc.).  The nurses may work with drains, trache care, ostomy care, central lines, etc.  The leadership for this team has been with SRHS for 20+ years with an awesome clinical background.  This team loves new grads and is very supportive of team members utilizing this unit to build a foundation and springboard into a specialty (or to be like other nurses on our team and enjoy your career within this awesome team).  Our diverse patient population and case types enables our unit to grow SRHS Strong RNs!

The Registered Nurse recognizes and addresses patient needs or issues to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction, quality and outcomes. The Registered Nurse provides, directs and coordinates professional nursing care for all patients following established clinical nursing standards and practices.  The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.  Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

• Current RN License to practice in South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement. 
• Certifications required upon hire or prior to patient care being rendered
          Med Surg: BLS and ACLS
