Job Summary
Following established standards and practices, performs various quantitative and qualitative clinical laboratory studies to comply with physician requests for analyses of various blood, body fluids, and tissues, in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Must be able to provide and understand the specific communication, developmental and treatment needs of patients, families and visitors ranging in age from neonate-birth to geriatric. Maintains professional standards of conduct established by the Village Hospital cultural development model. Complies with departmental and hospital institutional standards.
Job Requirements
Requires a Baccalaureate Degree in a laboratory related science and completion of an approved technical training program or equivalent experience. Registered or registry eligible through an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, HEW/HHS AMT). Must be able to read, write, and speak english fluently.
