Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care Provider St. Paul, AK

Position Description

Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is seeking to hire a full-time experienced Nurse Practitionerto join our dynamic Medical Services Division and be part of our rural clinic located in the rural community of St. Paul, AK. The provider would be responsible for providing acute, chronic, emergency, and preventive medical health care to village residents of the community. St. Paul is a city in the Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. It is the main settlement of Saint Paul Island in the Pribilofs, a small island group in the Bering Sea.

Rate of pay is listed as the base pay for the position. The candidate's salary would be determined through evaluation of the position and their qualifications/education.

Minimum Qualifications

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCFs geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCFs vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

  1. Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  2. Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
  3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.

Employee Health Requirements

Compliance with our Employee Health procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, and T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), COVID19 vaccination required.
