SAIC is seeking a JFN Ops Center Site Lead. This position will be on site in Yokota AB, Japan.
Team Leadership & Development
Contribute to the strategic growth of the Joint Fires Network in the region, helping to shape the future of its operational capabilities and ensure readiness.
Build and lead a high-performing team of on-site technical experts from the ground up, starting as the foundational member of the new operations center.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on excellence, problem-solving, and successfully executing mission-critical tasks.
Mentor team members, guiding their professional growth and ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to excel.
Site Management & Logistics
Serve as the primary logistics lead for the complete site build-out, from initial facility preparations to full operational capability.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including vendors, facility managers, and technical teams, to ensure physical infrastructure is installed and configured according to project timelines.
Oversee the project schedule and key deliverables for the site stand-up, ensuring milestones are met for initial and full capability, including support for major operational exercises.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for the customer, building a strong, trust-based relationship and ensuring their requirements and expectations are met.
Represent the organization in interactions with various stakeholders, providing clear and consistent communication regarding site status, capabilities, and project progress.
Regional Technical & Operational Oversight
Provide leadership and support for other regional nodes, to include deploying as a "fly-away" team to provide expert on-site assistance as required.
Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and sustainment of advanced networking and compute infrastructure within secure facilities throughout the region.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more experience.
