SAIC is seeking an experienced systems engineer (SETA) with a strong background in program acquisition to fill a Ground Systems Architecture Engineer role that will assist the government with ground systems architectures. This supports the ground element for a space program office which also needs expertise in small satellite constellation command and control. The position will be located in Chantilly, VA.
- Support acquisition activities related to requirements development and assessment, technical evaluations of proposals, and ECP development of Satellite Ground Systems
- Define requirements for end-to end delivery of ground systems for small satellite constellations
- Perform acquisition activities related to requirements development and assessment, RFP development, technical evaluations of proposals, contract oversight, and ECP development
- Perform risk management activities for adjudicating program risk mitigation strategies
- Perform integration support for integrated hardware/software solutions to multiple sites
- Provide systems engineering support for software and hardware requirements & design, test plans, and support to requirements verifications through acceptance testing from developers
- Develop enterprise level CONOPs for integration of the program at diverse locations
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- 9+ years professional experience
- Ability to travel overseas
- Experience in providing acquisition support for a USG program office
- Experience in organizing meetings, project coordination, and writing and reviewing technical reports
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification
- CSEP certification
- Domain knowledge in networks and interface connectivity, cloud hosting, and enterprise management
- Enterprise systems integration from factory testing to site implementation
- Experience in software development plans, execution, and assessments
- Experience in networking technologies, hardware, and software
- The ability to plan and coordinate implementations across multiple locations and/or interconnections with other network environments
- Prior ground experience in a satellite program office
