Description

We are looking for a non-invasive, Fellowship-trained cardiologist to join our group of three well established cardiologists.  Come and join us at the Rutland Heart Center, a department of Rutland Regional Medical Center. You will be replacing a retiring physician in a thriving practice which includes all aspects of inpatient and outpatient cardiology evaluation and management.  Additional responsibilities include interpretation of holter and event monitors, as well as device interrogations. BC/BE in cardiovascular diseases and certified in subspecialties of nuclear cardiology and echocardiography preferred.  

The culture of the practice is one of friendly outstanding professionalism, mutual support, integrated internal systems of care including important clinical support of shared patient care with our Emergency Department and Hospitalist Program.  We foster strong relationships with both Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and the University of Vermont Medical Center for our invasive cardiology and electrophysiology procedures.

The Rutland Heart Center is vibrant place to practice with programs encompassing all aspects of outpatient cardiology evaluation and management including, nuclear testing, exercise stress testing, echocardiography, a cardiac implantable device, holter and event monitor clinic, a HF management program, a cardiac rehab department, and an INR clinic with a Pharmacist.  The Rutland Heart Center building is separate from the main hospital, yet conveniently located across the street.

Work-life balance is encouraged. 4.5 days of patient appointments and Friday is a half day. The Hospital is located in the western valley of the Green Mountain range adjacent to Killington Ski Resort.  Outdoor activities are abundant including access to top-rated skiing and winter sports as well as mountain biking, hiking, paddling, and a wide variety of outdoor activities in all seasons.  Those looking for a quick get-away are within driving distance to multiple cities including New York, Boston, and Montreal.  Transportation options include an airport as well as the Amtrak train.  The Rutland region also boasts a highly-rated school system with low student/teacher ratios which create a nurturing environment for kids and families to thrive.

We offer a base salary plus incentive compensation based on wRVU using MGMA recommendations, a signing bonus, educational loan assistance, generous CME reimbursement, and relocation assistance.
