Description

One of Baltimores oldest non-profit organizations is looking for a Senior Finance and Accounting Manager. This is a great opportunity to lead a team and manage the accounting, budgeting and financial reporting functions of a well respected organization that has been helping the community for over 200 years. Responsibilities will include: - Lead the annual budget process and work with Executive Director to control costs and stay in budget. - Collaborate with the Executive Director in PR and fund-raising activities. - Direct and oversee all financial, accounting and business office functions. - Understand and ensure compliance with funding source rules and regulations relative to accounting and financial functions. - Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), organizational guidelines, industry best practices and company procedures. - Advise senior management on fiscal operating decisions and multi-year planning, and collaborate with them both in person and remotely to achieve financial sustainability goals. - Manage and mentor staff. Requirements

- BA/BS in business-related field. - Minimum of 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. - Non-profit industry experience preferred. - Demonstrated competency and proficiency in Accounting software packages and MS Excel.
