Description

If you have a background in accounting and are searching for a role with a highly respected Manufacturing firm, Robert Half Finance may have the Senior Accountant position for you. This role prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace. Located in Carmel, Indiana, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Manufacturing field. Your responsibilities - Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP - Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests - Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) - Participate in various department-wide initiatives - Provide monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting - Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors - Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements

- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines - 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience - Lease Accounting experience preferred - Practical knowledge of Oracle - Strong familiarity with month end closings - Public Accounting Audit experience - General familiarity with HFM - Solid understanding of CPA - General ledger experience required - Adeptness in Microsoft Excel - Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - Skilled with ERP systems - Strong analytical capabilities and discernment - High attention to detail - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems - Skilled at time management - Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued - SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus - Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
