Lake Mary company is looking for an Accounting Manager. The company is looking for a minimum of 5+ years of experience. Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager will include, but not limited to the following. -- This position is involved with all aspects of the day-to-day accounting entries and financial close processes, account reconciliations, data cleansing and file maintenance. -- Compiles and analyzes Sales, Cost of Sales and Operating results and variances; identifies trends, vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement -- Assists in preparation of schedules for interim and year-end audit. -- Manage time and duties of Accounting Department. -- High-level review of trends, budget comparisons and potential cost savings of all accounts. -- High-level review of financial ratios and cash position (present and future). -- Reporting Budget Variance P&L Actual and Adjusted. -- Ad Hoc Reporting -- Review, research and reconcile all discrepancies in coordination with Assistant Controller. -- Preparation of financial statements and review of all analyses for accuracy -- Secondary review of financials with a focus on reserves and carryfoward as it relates to audit thresholds, historical audit requirements. -- Review of audited financial statements and management letters. -- Develop projections based on historical, current economy, proposed reductions and department plans for upcoming year. - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - 5+ years of experience - Communicate effectively with others both verbally and written - Work both independently and with others as necessary - Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Ability to review work for accuracy and completeness - Think independently and develop solutions to problems - Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
