Role:

Supervises a group of nonexempt employees typically engaged in one or more non-technical functions. The primary duty of the incumbent is to direct the work and manage the activities of employees assigned to the group.

NOTE: Employees in a lead capacity who provide functional guidance but do not customarily and regularly perform other management tasks (as described below) should not be classified in this position.

Responsibilities:

Provides functional guidance and oversight to subordinates within work group. Monitors productivity and proficiency to ensure that completed assignments meet required schedules, quality standards, budgets, and procedures.

Participates in the interview and selection process (including hiring recommendations), and makes staffing assignments in accordance with schedule requirements.

Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals, and provides training and development. Ensures that assigned personnel are thoroughly trained in and observe all safety measures related to their work area.

Conducts performance evaluations and makes appropriate recommendations for required actions, including recommendations for advancement, changes in status, or disciplinary action.

May provide input to and/or participate in the administration of the salary administration budget. This includes initiating salary actions for merit increases and/or promotions in accordance with approved salary plan.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Business Administration (or equivalent) and typically 8+ years of related experience, including some experience in a lead capacity.

Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required. Additionally, a demonstrated proficiency in keyboard skills and software related to work assignments is required, as well as a working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
