Job Skills / Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Security Site Manager to oversee and coordinate security operations at a large office building complex site with multiple security positions operating 24/7. You will lead a team of security professionals while developing and implementing policies and procedures that maintain high-level security standards. The Site Manager will work closely with, and report directly to, the Client Service Manager.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent multitasking abilities, a solid understanding of health and safety protocols, and proven experience in emergency response. The goal is to maintain a safe and well-protected environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property.  

As a Site Manager, you will have to demonstrate excellent leadership and multitasking skills and knowledge of health and safety hazards and emergency response procedures. The goal is to create and preserve an environment where our client, employees, visitors, and property are safe and well-protected.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide strong leadership to the security team, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Address and resolve client concerns and recommend improvements to security operations.
  • Supervise all security staff and act as a resource for security issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and enforce organizational and client policies, including professionalism, reporting standards, and performance expectations.
  • Support officers in their daily responsibilities and mentor staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
  • Conduct site orientations and training for new officers; monitor performance and document or discipline as required.
  • Lead shift briefings, debriefings, and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for after-hours calls from site staff.
  • Ensure all daily and incident reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Review, escalate, and track incidents using internal reporting systems.
  • Compile operational statistics and complete required audits.
  • Conduct investigations and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate access control records, including issuing and deactivating cards.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, their employees and partner agencies.
  • Create and maintain site schedules to ensure full coverage across all shifts.
  • Handle last-minute absences and arrange shift coverage as needed.
  • Ensure all officers meet the site's training and certification requirements.
  • Ensure the SOC is staffed 24/7 for real-time monitoring and incident response.
  • Oversee surveillance systems, access control platforms, and communication tools.
  • Maintain situational awareness and ensure timely escalation of security events.
  • Deliver site-specific onboarding, refresher training, and scenario-based exercises.
  • Ensure all staff maintain required certifications and comply with organizational standards.
  • Conduct audits of patrol logs, reports, and access control activity.
  • Implement corrective actions and service improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with policy, regulatory guidelines, and privacy standards.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regularly.
  • Work with leadership teams to align SOPs with evolving risks.
  • Ensure SOPs are accessible, clear, and consistently followed by all staff.
  • Participate in planning meetings, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness discussions.
  • Provide recommendations for long-term operational and security improvements.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum one year of supervisory security experience, or a comparable combination of experience and education.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Completion of Supervisor Training (or willingness to complete).
  • Class 5 Driver's License preferred.
  • OFA2 certification preferred; training available.
  • Strong understanding of access control, CCTV, alarm systems, fire panels, and related security technology.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, incident reporting, and digital patrol systems.
  • Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and resolve complex problems.
  • Strong knowledge of site orders and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
