POSITION SUMMARY: The telecommunications operator provides a positive first impression to callers and matches his/her request to available resources/services. Serves as a resource to internal/external callers regarding the physicians, mission partners, and services associated with this OSF facility and region. Responds in a calm, professional manner in handling patient/family concerns and effectively uses a variety of communication methods to respond to emergency situations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: Phone systems work or customer service, 1 year
Other skills or knowledge - Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills, keyboarding, knowledge of phone systems and basic computer software applications.
