MSD Long Island (Huntington):
The Division of Neurology at Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island is seeking full-time Neurologists. Joining this multi-specialty group with its main site in a brand new, state-of-the-art, 80,000 square foot ambulatory facility in Huntington, will allow the physician to rapidly grow a practice by servicing a large and diverse patient population in Huntington and other nearby Mount Sinai Doctor sites. Long Island is full of beautiful communities with excellent school districts, art museums, restaurants, and concert venues. Additionally, Manhattan is only a short drive or train ride away. Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island offers comprehensive care through its sites and is comprised of 77 physicians representing almost every medical and surgical specialty. Additionally, this site has a full imaging center, state-of-the-art accredited office endoscopy center, and on-site Laboratory, as well as a comprehensive support team, including RNs and MAs.
Pediatric
Applicants are sought at any rank (Assistant, Associate, Professor), with an academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai that is commensurate with experience and resume. The chosen candidate must have excellent clinical skills and an interest in outpatient and inpatient pediatric neurology and in developing pediatric neurology services. He or she will also work with an outstanding team of 10 pediatric neurologists with specialized interests in epilepsy, movement disorders, stroke, neurobehavioral disorders, multiple sclerosis and autoimmune encephalitis, as well as general pediatric neurology throughout the Mount Sinai Health System in Manhattan. Faculty teach adult neurology residents, pediatric residents, and medical students at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai during those trainees clinical rotations in pediatric neurology. In addition, the Division is preparing an application to ACGME for a pediatric neurology fellowship training program.
Mount Sinai South Nassau is one of the eight hospitals that is part of the Mount Sinai Health System and is located in Oceanside, Long Island.Mount Sinai South Nassau also operates Long Islands only free-standing, 9-1-1 receiving Emergency Department, located in Long Beach. In addition to its extensive outpatient specialty centers, Mount Sinai South Nassau provides emergency and elective angioplasty, as well as being a designated Stroke Center by the New York State Department of Health and Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons and an accredited center of the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Association and Quality Improvement Program. The hospital has been awarded the Joint Commissions gold seal of approval for disease-specific care for heart failure, primary stroke, hip replacement, knee replacement, wound care, bariatric surgery, and end-stage renal disease, and recently was re-accredited as one of first programs in the US by the Infectious Diseases Society of America as a Center of Excellence for Antimicrobial Stewardship.

Position Qualifications (Neurology):
Medical Degree from an Accredited University
New York Medical License
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology

- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Neurology
