Works closely with co-workers in all Women and Children service line departments (Labor & Birth, Antepartum, Mother/Baby, NICU, Medical/Pediatrics, Lactation and Hearing Screen services) to meet the communication needs of the patient, family, staff and providers. 


Prepares and compiles information from patients for the birth certificate application, affidavits of paternity and other mandatory documentation within the departments.


Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff.


Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and facility policies, procedures, and standards.


Stocking and ordering in supply areas, and transport of patients is required.


Works closely with management to achieve department goals and objectives.

  • Other: Medical terminology, keyboarding, Word, Excel, Multi-Line Phone usage, Fax, Copier
  • Preferred Education: Associate degree in related field
  • Preferred Other: Bilingual in English and Spanish, Notary Public
