Director Critical Care Medical City North Hills
Responsible for providing quality patient care by planning, organizing, controlling, and coordinating department activities within the frame work of the existing policies, aims, and objectives of North Hills Hospital. The North Hills Hospital staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the adult through geriatric. The attached criteria based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency.
Medical City North Hills is licensed for 164 beds, has over 300 physicians and 30 medical specialties. The ER has about 39,000 visits each year and is a Level III Trauma Center. We are also a Primary Stroke Center, perform Spine Surgery, and have a comprehensive Cardiovascular Services department. We are an accredited Cycle 5 Chest Pain Center with a Cardiac Rehabilitation program as well as have a Total Joint Replacement Program.Benefits: We are proud to offer:

A. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
B. Masters degree in nursing or related field, or other related post graduate degree preferred or currently enrolled in Master's program upon hire.
A. Minimum of 5 years acute care nursing experience.
B. Prior experience in nursing management level leadership required.
3. Specific Requirements:
A. Current license to practice nursing. Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted; Texas State RN license required 60 days after hire.
B. Demonstrate competent administrative, leadership and nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the development needs of adult and geriatric patients.
C. Knowledge of Joint Commission and Medicare standards.
D. Must possess ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
E. Possess the ability to listen, interact, and communicate verbally and in writing.
F. Possess the ability to make independent decisions, organize and plan effectively, understand social, political, and economic influences affecting health care programs.
G. Must have ability to act as liaison between personnel and management.
H. Current ACLS and BCLS (AHA) certification from AHA or ARC
