The Maintenance Mechanic Lead

  • Performs general maintenance and light repairs on building systems including plumbing, medical gas, doors and hardware, electrical, nurse call and HVAC systems
  • Mastery in an engineering trade such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.
  • Operates building automation systems and fire alarm systems.
  • Mastery in response to building system casualties and fire alarms and immediate restoration of services.
  • Mastery in the installation and/or changes outs of appliances and wall hangings.
  • Mastery in the performance of scheduled preventative maintenance for building systems.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent is required
  • Some college or technical training is preferred
  • Five years experience in a particular trade such as mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, stationary operating engineer, etc.
  • Journeyman's license in an engineering trade (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.), an International Maintenance Institute (IMI) CMT-2 Certification or an Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) Certified Master Locksmith Certification is required.  A Technical Associate's Degree may be substituted for this requirement.
