POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Director of Clinical Program Operations at Matrix Medical Network serves as the strategic leader to the Clinical Program Support organization reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Program Support. This position owns strategic relationships with vendors providing clinical services (POC testing, mass testing, provider testing, immunizations, etc.). This individual will play a key role in working to further develop and implement future clinical products and services.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Effectively manage and interface vendor partnerships across teams to ensure effectiveness and delivery of contractual provisions and SLA's (POC testing, mass testing, provider testing, immunizations, etc.)
  • As the key strategic leader, operate as a change agent with key business areas to optimize organization effectiveness, ensure compliance and adherence to client requirements
  • Identify business needs, establish process and guidelines to position the enterprise for success
  • Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the clinical teams
  • Maintain awareness and communicates with team members regarding changing regulatory and client requirements
  • Collaborate with team members, and work synergistically with cross-functional leadership and other key business areas in the development of organizational strategy, key initiatives, goals and objectives
  • Interface with and drive alignment among operational departments (Clinical Operations, Process, Coding, and Education)
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures related to state regulations and guidelines (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Waivers, American College of Radiology (ACR) and Mammography) for Mobile Clinics
  • Act as a point of escalation for the team and interface with state and federal regulatory agencies to include, but not be limited to, Department of Labor, Medicare, Medicaid, Department of Health, etc. when appropriate
  • Develop, manage and oversee the teams' internal operating budgets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required (health related field preferred)
  • Master's degree preferred

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Minimum 5+ years' increasingly progressive experience within the healthcare industry
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or other demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Broad knowledge of regulatory affairs strategy; direct experience with state regulatory submissions and approvals nationwide
  • Ability to successfully lead and/or coordinate a project team by exhibiting strong communicating skills, both written and oral.
  • Establish strong working relationships with organizational team members and clients to support cross functional collaboration.
  • Ability and comfort with navigating ambiguous situations, thinking outside the box, and coming up with creative solutions to problems.
  • Proven successful experience as a communicator (both written and oral)
  • Demonstrated success-meeting deadlines, ability to balance and coordinate numerous priorities and demonstrate qualities of trust, teamwork, transparency and empathy while ensuring that every project is managed to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify critical issues that need to be escalated to the Vice President of Clinical Program Support
  • Proven relationship building skills - utilized with internal customers.
  • Must have consistent and effective follow-up skills.
  • Assures clinical and operating performance consistently supports program Core Values, Mission, Vision and Customer Service.
  • Empower team members to identify potential areas of reporting and metric needs within Credentialing, Regulatory Operations, Quality and Medical Record environments and develops reporting and tracking for given areas.
  • Review data analysis of productivity and quality across credentialing, regulatory operations, medical records and customer and member feedback and works with leadership team to implement changes or improvements in organization, staffing, work methods, and/or procedures.
  • Responsible for assisting with system data integrity and reconciliation of data across internal tools and systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required

 

 

 

Physical and Psychological demands:

 

• Requires prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, crouching, drawling and/or stretching from seated or standing positions.

• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate medical equipment, keyboard, telephone, copier, calculator and other office equipment.

• Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust visual focus, hearing and smelling

• Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate information via telephone or computer.

• Requires moderate to intense concentration due to complexity of the job

• Ability to drive a car and have the ability to travel by public transportation and airplanes.
