The Role

We are looking to hire a multi-disciplinary Creative Director in the Mass Markets (Consumer) division at Lumen.Successful candidatewill guide talented teams across multiple disciplines, including creative writing, editing,andgraphic design. With a holistic understanding of the entire creative process, and a keen ability to be a trustworthy steward of Lumen's CenturyLink / Quantum Fiber brands, the Creative Director will guide all projects and be responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the creative department. This positionis located inour corporate headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado – just outside the capital city of Denver – and will report to the Vice President of Marketing. 

The Main Responsibilities
  • Lead internal teams and external agencies that build campaign assets across all mediums – both digital and traditional – in support of product launches and campaigns 

  • Serve as a liaison between the sales, marketing, and creative teams; manage relationships with eternal creative agencies 

  • Translate go-to-market strategies into clear creative strategies 

  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion ensure visual communication and brand standards are met; ensure designs and content consistently and positively reflect the brand image and company ideals 

  • Recognize great copy, design, and fresh approaches to selling our products to consumers and small businesses alike 

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, particularly our large sales organizations as well as Digital Transformation and Customer Care teams 

  • Shoulder the responsibility of the quality and completion of all work projects assigned to members of the creative team; oversee deliverables, timelines, and budgets 

  • Manage and cultivate the career development of staff members; mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a positive work environment 

What We Look For in a Candidate

Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent; strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives 

10+ years of related experience with 7+ years of creative direction in agency or corporate setting (agency highly preferred) 

10+ years of experience creating marketing/advertising campaigns from developing vision and the message platform to overseeing production on time and budget 

10+ years industry experience in telecommunications, consumer technology, or related industries 

Understanding andpast experiencecreating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, but also understand offline and print 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Excellent graphic design skills;expertcommand of Adobe Creative Suite 

Good comfort level interacting withsenior executives and sales leaders 

Recent hands-on experience with applying design, copy, orWeb best practices 

Webdesignexperience an advantage, especially using HTML5 and WordPress 

Talent in presenting information concisely and accurately, with keen attention to detail 

Professional business skills, such as negotiation, project management, and leadership 

Required:Bachelor's degree inVisual Communications, Graphic Arts, or Advertisingpreferred; alternatively,a degree in marketing or communications with related experience 

Preferred:Master's degree in a communications-related field
