Cardiovascular Lab - (Full-Time, Day Shift) -

Our core values are compassion, integrity, excellence, teamwork and wholeness.The Radiologic Technologist B-CVL (Cardiovascular Lab), practices in a large university medical center with a Level One (1) Tertiary Trauma Center designation. Under the general supervision of the Director CDL/CVL Lab and the direct supervision of the CVL Manager, the CVL Technologist B performs simple and complex diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures in the adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations with cardiac dysfunction. Operates the physiologic and radiographic equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures all patient care equipment is calibrated and that operational capabilities are tested consistent with departmental guidelines and regulation. Anticipate potential safety concerns in the environment of care and intervene. Participate in educational activities, departmental committees, research projects and other health-related projects as assigned. Provide direction and guidance in the proper use, care and control of material resources; appraise quality and effectiveness of material and equipment and communicate to responsible individuals. Provides accurate clinical and billing documentation. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed.
Successful completion of accredited Radiological Technology program; Associate of Science Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree preferred. One year recent clinical experience required. Previous cardiac or vascular catheterization or electrophysiology experience preferred. Active California Radiologic Technologist license with fluoroscopy permit and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required by end of introductory period. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of employment.
Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment; perform technical patient care activities. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision.
