Pharmacy Core -
Our mission is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Our core values are compassion, integrity, excellence, teamwork and wholeness.The Pharmacy Specialist-Clinical promotes rational drug therapy to physicians, optimize neonatal, pediatric and adult patient outcomes, and minimize hospital costs whenever possible. Monitors patient medication profiles. Provides drug information and pharmacy consultation secondary to physician request. Participates in clinical research and publication. Documents all clinical intervention activities. Acts as a preceptor for Pharmacy students and residents on clinical rotation. Conducts routine continuous quality improvement data collection. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed.
Graduation from school of pharmacy accredited by the American Board on pharmaceutical education. PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) Degree preferred. Minimum two years of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience, including supervision of interns and technicians preferred. Current California pharmacist license required.
