Our core values are compassion, integrity, excellence, teamwork and wholeness.The Coordinator-Resuscitation provides oversight and coordinates all aspects of the resuscitation process and outcomes across all LLUH system sites. Utilizes independent judgment and critical thinking skills to coordinate and conduct concurrent and retrospective medical record reviews. Facilitates development of core processes related to documentation and maintenance associated with resuscitation equipment. Participates as clinical and process expert in selection process for key equipment related to resuscitation. Facilitates and participates in teams to develop standard policies, protocols and procedures for resuscitation activities. Develops, as appropriate, and participates in education of providers and personnel in resuscitation processes and equipment. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Respiratory Care required. Degree may be in progress at time of hire with reports provided to supervisor at designated intervals. Master Degree in Nursing or Health-related field preferred. Minimum three years of recent clinical experience in hospital inpatient setting required.Demonstrated knowledge of data management and statistical analysis, problem solving methodologies, adult and pediatric resuscitation practices, information technology and continuous improvement methodologies required. Must be able to employ advanced analytic skills in the management of clinical quality data. Demonstrate ability to provide visual, written and oral interpretation of highly specialized clinical data. Communicate effectively and professionally in English and deliver public presentations. Articulate well and communicate clearly on the telephone; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; compose written material; read documents and understand content; use computer and software programs, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Statistical Software, Electronic Health Record. Able to distinguish colors as necessary to the position; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position. Must be consistent in following and/or enforcing policies. Demonstrate expert time management and prioritize fluctuating workload to meet position demands.Clinical License in State of California Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required. If Respiratory Care Practitioner, current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance required at time of hire. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. Additional Information
