MC: Clinical Documentation Improvement -

Our core values are compassion, integrity, excellence, teamwork and wholeness.The Clinical Documentation Auditor is responsible for the reconciliation of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) clarification against final coded outcomes. Evaluates provider documentation in context of completed documentation and final code diagnosis, severity of illness and risk of mortality. Maintains the CDI database, ensuring that all data fields are thoroughly and consistently updated. Provides formal education programs related to documentation guidelines, clarification guidelines, DRH methodology and annual changes. Performs concurrent clinical documentation review within designated timeframe after admission with emphasis on completeness and accuracy. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Health Information Management (HIM) required. Minimum three years of acute hospital nursing or acute hospital coding experience required; preferably in critical care or Emergency Department. Minimum three years of pediatric acute hospital nursing experience, PICU or NICU preferred.
Active California RN License required for nurse filling role. Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
