This position is responsible for overseeing the nutrition department at LifeScape. If selected for the Director role, you will focus on guidance to the Nutrition and Food Services Departments at our Children's Services facility, which includes our education department, outpatient nutrition therapy, and children's residential.
Some of the important responsibilities of this unique career include but are not limited to:
- Developing goals for the department
- Setting department strategies
- Collaborating with a variety of departments
- Supporting clinical dietitians
- Writing & approving menus
- Ensuring that the organization meets regulations
- Maintaining policies
- Planning and following a budget
- Supervising direct reports
- Working very closely with the Dietitians, Kitchen leaders, Nurses, Therapists, Teachers, and a variety of other professionals and leaders at LifeScape

Minimum qualifications required include a bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Hospitality Management or Healthcare Management, and experience in Food service Management, Clinical Nutrition and/or Healthcare Management.
Qualifications preferred include registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, current licensure as a Registered Dietitian in the state of South Dakota, and experience with children and adolescents with developmental delays and other disabilities.
