Requirements

JOB SUMMARY


Performs assigned computer input, supply procurement processes for department and/or product
categories/companies as assigned. Assist Manager in all aspects of Material Distribution and inventory control.
Assist Materials Management in strengthening relations between KHN departments to ensure maximum
customer satisfaction for the Network. Assumes leadership responsibilities in the absence of other on-site
leadership. Crossed trained in all areas of Material Distribution within job responsibility. Works with
purchasing/vendors on product backorders and new items. Works with par levels and maintains par forms.
Requires frequent lifting, moving, reading and a high level of communication. Uses proper phone etiquette
and maintains professional appearance at all times. Other duties as assigned.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 Knows and understands the critical role department plays in support of patient care
 Interacts with departments regarding supply concerns/substitutions; assists with incoming calls and
concerns
 Tracks and records "specialty equipment" such as beds and orthopedic products to ensure proper patient
charges and payment to vendors.
 Assists with inventory level control by cycle counting, maintaining accurate bin locations, and monitoring for
outdates
 Submits process improvement ideas to the manager directed at increasing productivity and cost
effectiveness
 Works with other KHN locations in a teamwork atmosphere to maintain proper inventory levels
 Assists in verification of recalled products and takes appropriate measures throughout inventory system
 Performs other special projects as assigned by Manager.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.


Minimum Work Experience

2 years' experience in a Materials Management experience.

Required Skills
Computer based procurement system experience
Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
Working knowledge of office equipment operation including ,computer, fax machine, etc.
