TEMP TO HIRE Position Overview Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee a busy warehouse operation and facility. ( New location) The ideal candidate will manage daily activities, reinforce safety protocols, drive operational efficiencies, and actively support the team—including operating a forklift as needed, . We value candidates with expertise in warehouse management systems and hands-on experience in logistics. 50% hands on in shipping/receiving/picking/packing/forklift and 50% supervising
Preferred Experience:
- Third-party logistics (3PL)
- Amazon FBA and Home Depot DFC
- Management of high-volume inventory (thousands of SKUs across multiple brands)
- Supervise and participate in day-to-day warehouse activities: shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and inventory control.
- Ensure timely, accurate order processing to meet customer service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) as a backup to the team.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the warehouse with strict OSHA compliance.
- Facilitate communication and coordination with other departments and lead or support projects to optimize warehouse organization and efficiency.
- Achieve 98–99%+ inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliations.
- Implement proper product labeling and bin organization; monitor stock levels.
- Communicate inventory concerns to management.
- Enforce safety standards and PPE usage.
- Conduct safety inspections and report incidents promptly.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Support usage of warehouse technology (ERP, WMS, scanners, shipping platforms).
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance warehouse procedures.
- Interview, hire, train, staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, conduct evaluations, coach, and discipline as required.
- Clearly communicate policies and procedures.
- Returns (RMA): Process RMAs, update inventory systems.
- Shipping & Receiving: Verify inbound/outbound shipments, inspect goods, apply labels and UPCs.
- Documentation & Organization: Maintain records (BOLs, DOs), keep workspaces clean, organized, and in compliance.
- 3+ years warehouse/fulfillment experience; 1–2 years in lead or supervisory roles preferred
- Hands-on eCommerce/direct-to-consumer shipping experience (Amazon FBA is a plus)
- Current forklift certification required
- Strong leadership, organization, and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & basic inventory management software
- Familiarity with ShipStation required
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Able to stand, walk, crouch, and lift 10–50 lbs. for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexible to work weekends/holidays and open/close facilities as needed (7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
