Material Handler – E-Commerce Operations
Location: Ogdensburg, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $20/hour
Employment Type: Temporary (with potential for extension)
About the Role:
We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Material Handlers to join an E-commerce Operations team. This role involves processing approximately 10,000 items for online resale. Unlike traditional warehousing, this position includes a wide variety of tasks that require flexibility, problem-solving, and strong computer skills.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for individuals who take initiative, enjoy learning multiple systems, and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- E-commerce Order & Returns Processing: Receive, sort, and process incoming products for resale.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for cleanliness, damage, and reusability; perform basic cleaning as needed.
- Scanning & Labeling: Use handheld scanners and software platforms to track inventory, print labels, and upload product data.
- Packing & Shipping: Prepare products for shipment following proper packing procedures.
- Inventory Support: Restock items into the correct picking bins and maintain organized warehouse locations.
- System Navigation: Work with multiple computer programs; enter data accurately and efficiently.
- General Warehouse Tasks: Assist with other duties as needed, depending on daily operations.
- Computer literate with experience using multiple programs; Excel skills required.
- Ability to work independently and “think on your feet.”
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a non–temperature-controlled warehouse (ambient environment).
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn—we're looking for long-term, quality team members.
