Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Remote (must be within one hour driving distance of Falls Church, VA)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This position plays a key role in managing HR functions, benefits administration, compliance, and employee support.
- Auditing 401k plans
- Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments and terminations.
- Process documents through payroll and insurance providers for accurate record keeping.
- Conduct employee orientations and counsel employees on benefit plan provisions.
- Manage annual open enrollment and assist with communication of changes.
- Review monthly insurance billings for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Act as liaison with insurance carriers and maintain effective relationships.
- Prepare government reports related to EEO compliance and other HR functions.
- Maintain and update affirmative action plan and ensure federal reporting compliance.
- Draft, revise, and proofread company policies and related documents.
- Support supervisors with employee reviews and salary adjustments.
- Assist accounting with payroll changes, new hires, and terminations.
- Support recruiting and hiring processes, including job postings and agency coordination.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee and benefit-related inquiries.
- Assist with planning company events and promotions.
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting HR and benefits.
- Represent the company with a positive attitude and energy.
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist.
- Experience with HR in a small government contractor environment preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of initiative; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Full-time or part-time requests will be considered.
