Administrative Assistant
Location: CPA Firm – Troy, MI
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No weekends)
Start Date: January 5, 2026

About the Role
Kelly Services is seeking a trustworthy, professional Administrative Assistant to support a busy CPA firm during peak tax season. This role is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations, providing excellent client service, and managing confidential documentation. Light training will be provided by the current administrator, but we need someone who can step in confidently and learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and provide a warm, professional front-office experience
  • Answer and manage a high volume of calls across 8 phone lines
  • Interact with and support an older client base with patience and professionalism
  • Perform general clerical duties: data entry, filing, scheduling, and preparing mail
  • Handle sensitive and confidential tax documents with accuracy and discretion
  • Assist clients dropping off tax paperwork and ensure proper documentation
  • Manage electronic filing processes and ensure signatures are collected
  • Prepare letters using Microsoft Word and create labels using Excel/label maker
  • Respond to client questions, including inquiries about missing forms (e.g., 1099s)
  • Maintain professionalism and composure during peak tax season

Requirements
  • Proven trustworthiness and strong sense of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable attendance — no time off permitted during tax season
  • Professional appearance (slacks/blouse; no T-shirts or flip-flops)
  • Ability to work respectfully and patiently with older clientele
