FULL TIME - Location: 301 W. Hurst Blvd., Hurst, TX - Factory -

This position is responsible of the efficient manufacture of paint products within the Hurst, Texas manufacturing facility. The quantity of the products produced directly impact our customers and the success of Kelly-Moore.

Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated stackers, shrink wrappers, de-nesters, and liquid processing and transfer equipment. Work on pneumatic pumps, high speed dispensers, mixers, piping, and other equipment in a factory environment.

Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear of components, checking alignment, and general inspection of manufacturing equipment.

Operate industrial trucks and man lifts to perform maintenance activities.

Work positively with maintenance and operations team to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Open and close work orders

Complete work in a safe manner

Completes all required training in a timely manner

Complies with all Kelly-Moore Paint Company policies and procedures and the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Age requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older. Frequently kneels, stoops, crouches, bends, climbs, reaches overhead, pushes, pulls, and grasps. Works around heat, cold, dirt, dust, and minimal paint odors. Accurately distinguishes colors. May be required to operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc. Frequently carries, relocates and/or lifts up to 70 pound cartons and containers (including 5-gallon paint containers). Stands and walks on concrete surfaces for up to 10 or 12 hours per day.


Excellent communication skills

Ability to work under direct supervision and follow oral and/or written instructions

English language skills, including a level of reading comprehension, and written and oral language conventions ordinarily attained by receiving a high school diploma or equivalent.

Math skills of number sense, measurement, and geometry, and math reasoning as are ordinarily attained by receiving a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to stay focused and pay attention to minute details

A high sense of urgency to respond and react to production problems

Four years' experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment

Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.

Ability to read and work from prints, layouts, sketches, parts, lists wiring diagrams and other written directions and schematics.

Ability to troubleshoot, identify and address the root cause of problems with the correct repair.

Able to navigate RS Logics software to interface with all Allen Bradley PLC's is preferred.

Certification as a maintenance technician or reliability technician is preferred.

Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and determine the root cause. Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
