Under direct supervision, the Delivery Driver role transports high quality products to our customers in a safe and timely manner. The Delivery Driver consistently provides excellent service to all customers and contributes to the sales, gallon, and margin growth performance objectives of the store. The Delivery Driver role assists in the maintenance and upkeep of the store delivery vehicle and supports the proper handling and distribution of company inventory and assets.
Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills using the Signature Service Standards. Delivers orders to meet customer requirements while complying with Kelly-Moore Paint Company's driving agreement. Prepares orders as required to meet daily delivery requirements including staging orders and keeping accurate logs. Handles payment transactions, cash and charge verifications following company protocols. Accurately tints paint and eye matches color. Complies with the requirements of a retail store schedule, which may include working shifts beginning early in the morning; works weekends and holidays as required.
Assists customers with the selection of paint colors and sundry products through the point of sale. Double checks all orders- colors, products and quantities, etc. to ensure accuracy before departure for delivery. Provides flyers and other sales documents upon delivery and asks customers if additional products are desired. Maintains store delivery vehicles on a regular basis including routine maintenance and cleaning. Helps to maintain paint and sundry inventories to required levels. Helps to maintain company standards for store appearance, window and sales floor displays, promotional displays, etc. Assists Store Management to ensure store meets all operational parameters and goals. Completes all required training in a timely manner. Complies with all Kelly-Moore Paint Company policies and procedures. May perform light maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and dusting. May clean restrooms as needed.
Age requirement: Must be 19 years of age or older if employed in California, Texas, or Oklahoma. Must be 21 years of age or older if employed in Nevada. Frequently kneels, stoops, crouches, bends, climbs, reaches overhead, pushes, pulls, and grasps. Works around heat, cold, dirt, dust, and minimal paint odors. Uses electronic point-of-sale device and scanner. May be required to operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc. Accurately distinguishes colors. Operates powered industrial equipment, including tinting and shaking equipment. Frequently carries, relocates and/or lifts up to 70 pound cartons and containers (including 5-gallon paint containers). Operates a fully loaded (280 lbs.) hand truck and/or cart (1120 lbs.). Stands and walks on concrete surfaces for up to 8 hours per day.
