Scrub Tech is a member of the surgical team, performing scrub duties throughout the surgical procedure and functions in the role of preceptor to surgical techs new to the specialty.
- Considerable knowledgeable of principles of standard precautions, routinely, and consistently makes use of these principles to reduce and avoid workplace exposure of infectious materials.
- Possesses basic knowledge of the procedures, materials and equipment that apply to the surgical process.
- Demonstrates Unit Competencies on a yearly basis. This position may be physically demanding.
