Industrial Controls Technician
Papillion Foods, LLC has openings for experienced Industrial Controls Technicians in our new food processing production facility located in Southwest Omaha, NE (old Shopko warehouse on 132nd St). Industrial Controls Technicians are given regular performance reviews and annual salary reviews. Current vacancies are on all shifts with opportunities for overtime. Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
The Industrial Controls Technicians works closely with all plant personnel to support improved electrical, electronic, and computerized control system reliability as well as efficient and cost-effective use of plant resources. This position is a key member of a cross functional team that supports the improvement of asset reliability.
A successful candidate will possess a two-year degree in Automated Engineering Technology or equivalent degree or experience, a solid background in electrical and mechanical systems is critical to the success of the industrial controls technician. A strong understanding of both alternating current and direct current control circuitry including wiring, troubleshooting and design. A strong PLC background including but not limited to programing, troubleshooting and program modifications, and understanding of computer and of how electronics function. Strong leadership skills and ability to take a project from the drawing board to completion. This position requires excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills and the ability to read and work from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical manuals, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and control schematics. Must have the ability to learn and effectively use various software programs including the company's Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS), AutoCAD, and various building and equipment control systems. A combination of experience and/or training at an accredited technical school will be given consideration.
