Description
The Trade Compliance Associate is responsible for assisting with the management, planning and oversight of all aspects of trade compliance to achieve HFT's financial, operational & strategic goals while maintaining compliance with all associated federal rules, regulations & supply chain security guidelines as relates to imported merchandise & export operations. and will partner closely with Global Sourcing, Category Management, Product Compliance, Quality Assurance, Legal, Security, and Transportation to ensure compliance to all applicable rules and regulations of imported product as well as supply chain security guidelines (physical and procedural).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with Supply Chain to obtain documentation from vendors and supply chain partners to maintain compliance. i.e. Lacey Act questionnaires, CPSC documents, BOM information, other PGA information as needed, etc.
- Create certifications to support US imports (FDA Accession Letters, EPA engine Certificates, etc.)
- Maintain records per Trade Compliance Manual
- Maintain Oracle UPC accuracy – Oracle-QW Alignment
- Workfront – QuestaWeb Audit: ensure all required WorkFront info is populated per SOP
- Populate early COO determinations in WorkFront
- Open PO Audit - Ensure all UPCs with open POs are active in QuestaWeb
- Manage Departmental Calendar – Issue reminders and ensure tasks are completed
- Formalize and document processes for compliance
- Track internal compliance through documentation and audits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $77,200 – $92,700 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

- 1+ years experience in Ethical Sourcing, Responsible Sourcing, Sustainability in sourcing, retail, supply chain and/or manufacturing industry role
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in relevant field (customs brokerage and importer preferred)
- B.A./B.S. in business, global logistics, or other related studies
- Knowledge of Customs and Other Government agency Regulations, Harmonized Tariff classifications, and Customs Entry Process, preferred
- Knowledge of customs compliance as well as other government agency regulatory import/export requirements, preferred
- Ability to participate as a team-member as well as leader in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
