Role Summary: The Staff Technical Project Manager acts as the Digital Technology conduit for all Services and Engineering projects for the GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy. You will be the key coordinator working with the Services and Engineering management staff for communications, tool knowledge, and delivery. You will work in lock-step with application or domain leaders to create and deliver a clear strategic roadmap.


Essential Responsibilities: As the Staff Technical Project Manager you will:
  • Direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements and deliver product features and functions by balancing customer need with business strategy, minimized defects, and technical debt
  • Responsible for wing-to-wing execution of technical projects to deliver high quality outcomes to internal customers
  • Partner with functional product owner to define fit/gap to common products, work with technical team internal and external to the initiative to ensure desired outcomes, on time delivery, within scope and budget and of desired quality
  • Makes sure project management practices are followed and improved as needed
  • Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in defining a needs backlog and specifying requirements across lifetime of the digital journey
  • Demonstrate ability to influence stakeholders through credible knowledge and experience, persuasion and influencing skills
  • Engage continuously with stakeholders to understand their business goals and motivating factors
  • Work with cross-functional (process, design, build, test) teams to deliver features and products
  • Own the technology roadmap and its integration into a larger application or strategic roadmap
  • Lead the product development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, user story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; owner of functional and technical product design
  • Understand and follow the proscribed governance process and development methodology for product development
  • Translate unstructured or ambiguous requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning
  • Define execution plans and align approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources
  • Cooperate with and manage external vendors as required. Manage procurement and onboarding process
  • Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required
  • Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events for Field Services projects
  • Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting
  • Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations
  • Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected
  • Demonstrate substantial experience with the technology stack and its impact on the final product


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Technical Project Management PMP and Agile certifications a plus

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • To be considered for this role, you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 USC 1101(a)(2) and 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required
  • Ability and willingness to work out of an office located in Wilmington, NC

  • Experience working with others on a global basis from a remote location
  • Proficiency with Services and Engineering related SW and Technologies such as Outage & Support Planning, Video Inspection solutions, understanding of Govt vouchering, PLM and Engineering Design and Analysis tools such as Vault and Autodesk
  • Experience in Data Analytics and working with Algorithms
  • Knowledge of Technologies: P6, Unifier, Time Control, Tableau
  • Migration & Upgrade strategies for Software Systems
  • Working knowledge of system integrations, API's and micro services
  • Safety oriented, willing to work hand in hand with Services engineers on building sustainable process improvements
  • Agile software development process & Tools
