Position Summary

The successful Senior IT Auditor/Data Analytics will be a key contributor to the department by providing data analytic and data science subject matter expertise, strong professional presence, technical expertise, business sense, and a strong desire to help improve the overall internal control environment of Frontier. Reporting to and mentored by the Senior Manager, Internal Audit/Data Analytics, individual assignments will be performed under the direction of one or more Internal Audit Managers.


The Senior IT Auditor/Data Analytics brings a passion for data-driven analysis and eagerness to understand business processes. The Auditor will:

  • Work with and analyze complex data from various sources
  • Manipulate large data sets to complete statistical and other analyses
  • Navigate a variety of servers, data types, and data structures
  • Support the execution of Frontier Internal Audit's data analytics portfolio
  • Develop custom analytics for operations, finance, and technology audits
  • Create solutions supporting continuous risk assessment, control auditing, data mining, and fraud detection


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute data analytics procedures using Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs) \
  • Assist with audit procedures as well as help drive continuous monitoring and assurance activities
  • Standardize and streamline data analytics processes to drive efficiencies and consistency of methodologies and application
  • Responsible for planning and performing data analytics procedures for information systems and related processes in a complex, multi-platform environment
  • Identify best practices within the industry and the organization and recommend them for use throughout the organization
  • In conjunction with analytic procedure development, collaborate with other team members to plan and perform risk-based business and IT process reviews and effectively communicate results to management.
  • Participate in fraud investigations and other internal audit assignments (as needed) in response to the Ethics Hotline or other activities
  • Contribute to the department's goal of continuous improvement and delivering value-added results
  • Build and maintain productive client and departmental relationships





  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Information Technology Assurance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting or related fields
  • 3-8 years professional-level experience in the following areas:
    • public accounting, internal audit, and/or consulting
    • data science, business intelligence, or data analytics
  • Extensive experience performing statistical and other types of data analysis
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following platforms: DB2, Informix, Oracle, Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server
  • 2-4 years Python (including Pandas) programming and data analysis.
  • Expertise with data analytics, business intelligence, and visualization tools (especially ACL Analytics, Alteryx Designer, or Spotfire®)
  • Advanced computer skills proficiency (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, ACL)



  • Telecommunications industry experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python
  • In-depth understanding of IT auditing principles, practices, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of generally applicable and accepted auditing standards and framework (e.g., COBIT, COSO, NIST) and government guidelines and laws (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act)


  • Advanced written and oral presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong time management, organizational, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic 


ACDA, CISA, CIA or CPA, or similar certifications preferred
