What Will You Be Doing?

The Auditor, Safety Internal Evaluation position falls under the IEP (Internal Evaluation Program) in the Safety department. The Safety IE Auditor will perform internal evaluations on Frontier operational departments, focusing on the department's self-audit program to determine the scope and efficiencies of the audit program and ensure that the program is in compliance with federal regulations and company policies. The Auditor, Safety Internal Evaluation will also assist in conducting the internal IOSA (Operational Safety Audit) audit, act as liaison for the external IOSA, and provide audits and monitoring over Codeshare partners.

Essential Functions

  • Perform internal evaluations on operational departments self-audit programs (Flight Ops, Inflight, Maintenance, Dispatch, and Customer Service). (60%)
  • Participate and assist the Manager in leading the internal IOSA process and produce a conformance report for International Air Transport Association (IATA). (20%)
  • Act as liaison with IATA auditors for external IOSA. (15%)
  • Participate in Codeshare audits and monitoring processes. (5%)


  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Operations, Aviation Safety, Aviation Management or similar discipline preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience at a Part 121 carrier, 2 years of which should be in an auditing/evaluation function

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • General understanding of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • General knowledge of IOSA and IEP; some IEP/auditing training preferred
  • Proven ability to perform audits and evaluations which includes performing interviews, conducting research, and composing audit/evaluation results documentation
  • Ability to work well alone as well as in team situations
  • Accuracy and detail in reporting
  • Able to convey improvement suggestions in a professional manner
  • Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 5 & 121 regulations
  • Excellent writing skills, including manual writing, report writing and correspondence with government agencies
  • Ability to make formal presentations, including advocacy of cultural change, to large and small groups, including management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
