Job Description

The Operations Training Specialist will be based in Austin TX . This is a full time role supporting Operations training activities in a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Responsible for delivering classroom training for various manufacturing topics and conducting some On-the-Job Training and coaching. Includes conducting training needs analysis, developing and maintaining course materials, writing reports, interfacing with the customer, scheduling training and maintaining records.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Conduct training needs analysis with Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS and the Customer.
  • Learn customer and product specific manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain course materials, presentations and OJT checklists, using MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Write procedures.
  • Develop online, interactive training using iSpring authoring software.
  • Verify that learning objectives align with continually changing manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct classroom and On-the-Job training for Operations personnel.
  • Ensure that employees are trained and certified in a timely manner.
  • Monitor certification and recertification activities.
  • Prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Conduct Learning Application Assessments to verify training effectiveness.
  • With Flex support, earn IPC-A-610 Instructor Certification.
  • Perform multiple tasks in the site and corporate learning management systems.
  • Assign training, maintain records, conduct gap analysis and prepare reports.
  • Schedule training, send out invitations, coordinate with Supervisors.
  • Work on variety of projects with all segments of the organization and levels of leadership.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Prior training experience.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience providing instructor led (classroom) training
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong skills in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
