Job Description

The Account Manager will be based in Shanghai or Suzhou. This role is responsible for leading and managing the assigned key account to grow sales and profitability according to objectives, by establishing Flex as the key partner of the customer, winning projects, and selling profitably.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Understand account objectives, develop account strategy, implement through account plan
  • Identify business potentials and competitive landscape
  • Develop successful working relationship with (new and existing) clients as key partner to obtain briefs for profitable business
  • Monitor client satisfaction and initiate corrective action where needed
  • Identify business opportunities, decision factors and success criteria and define action plan accordingly
  • Negotiate for favorable commercial agreements, including payment terms, prices for new business and increases for existing items
  • Maximize business vitality
  • Anticipate needs from clients and lead proactive projects to generate new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with operation project team to ensure the implementation of NPI/MP project schedule
  • Drive projects towards the best possible solution for both the client and Flex
  • Manage products life cycle with operation CFT team
  • Build the account sales budget annually, monitor sales and profitability versus objectives, provide input to quarterly Sales forecast
  • Monitor and optimize all other financial aspects of the account

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Bachelor degree or above (business administration, economics, marketing, engineering, etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in sales, marketing, project management and engineering experience best in electric related manufacturing industry.
  • Good business sense
  • Ability to develop good relationship with people
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to clients
  • Good team player, seen as a strong partner with internal operation, design, supporting teams
  • Good computer skills especially in Microsoft Office application
  • Fluent in English speaking, listening and writing
  • Willing to work hard and welcome challenges

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • Willing to travel to Beijing / India;
  • Program management experience in EMS is highly preferred.
