To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Engineering Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 10+ years of Manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering leadership and a servant-leadeship approach.
  • The ability to create and execute SOPs and PCPs.
  • Familiarity with Satisloh Surfacing equipment and MEI equipment for finishing is preferred.
Reporting to the Operations Director, as Engineering Manager, you will lead a team (including Surfacing, Coating, Finishing and Continuous Improvement Engineers) that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain methods and processes in the manufacturing of prescription lenses. Using your technical expertise, you and your team will support the St. Cloud, MN sites by estimating manufacturing cost, determining time standards, and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. You will lead the strategic direction and initiatives that identify cost reduction and yield improvement opportunities.

You will also have direct oversite for an IT / LMS Supervisor.
