Ericsson Hungary is now looking for a Support Engineer that will provide technical service and support to our customer and internal projects, support handovers from projects to support, and deal with added services activities within customer support contracts. You will fix and resolve problems to stabilize and optimize customer networks & solutions, implement test cases, investigate issues encountered during system integrations activities, provide consultations and assistance in solution level troubleshooting and fault isolation activities. You will as well configure and integrate different nodes and solutions in new and live customer networks.
The Support Engineer typically interacts with customer technical staff, operation managers, service engineers and other groups within the Service Delivery organization. You may also interact with groups in sales, R&D, 3rd party suppliers and local authorities.
As there are no distinct borders between the areas, you will need to be flexible and master more than one area. If required, you are encouraged for traveling internationally and work in different cultural environments. The technical development is rapid and you will have the opportunity to keep your competence and skills up to date!You will
- Handle external and internal product and solution issues
- Do fault isolation in sophisticated problems
- Provide problem resolution
- Handle dedicated support task
- Work in a dynamic virtual organisation
Working in this role will require a broad knowledge within telecom and Datacom, covering hardware, software and network knowledge. You will work, collaborate, and communicate in an international environment, both with colleagues internally as well as customers and suppliers to Ericsson. The role more than often requires you to seek big responsibility and it is important that you can work independently.To be successful in the role you must have
- Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux and IP Technologies
- A good sense for solving problems and an analytical approach
- Customer handling attitude
- Experience in Cloud solutions (eg. OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of NFV/VNF Architectures
- Experience in customer support and/or in the telecommunication industry
- Familiarity with Software Update Management handling
