Under supervision of a Physician, RN, Nurse Manager, or other licensed health care provider, the Licensed Vocational Nurse Team Leader is responsible for providing work direction for MAs in their respective teams, and promoting and providing professional nursing care to clinic patients.
Graduation from an accredited LVN school of nursing, or have completed coursework allowing candidate to challenge the VN Board of Nursing and attain LVN designation and current State of California LVN licensure. Two years experience as a practicing LVN. Two years experience in acute or ambulatory care nursing preferred. BLS (American Heart Association) and IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Certification required. Non-Certified IV candidates will be considered, but must obtain certification within 6 months of hire or transfer. ACLS preferred. Must be proficiently skilled in the application and use of Windows, clinical applications programs, and the Internet. Typing/word processing skill of 25 wpm, preferably 40 wpm with a high degree of accuracy. Personal skills include a willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Work with spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork, cooperation and a sense of urgency, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality over all matters in the course of business operations including patient and employee information.
