Based anywhere in Western Europe, our Area Sales Manager will increase and develop focused customer engagement, centred around value creation and providing leadership and direction to the European sales teams, along with a focus on growing our digital solutions.

The Area Sales Manager role is key to the growth and strategic direction of the organization. They will be responsible for driving the Natural Gas and Pressure Management strategy to become the supplier of first choice products and integrated solutions to existing and new customers in the European Natural Gas market.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the market – trends, dynamics, participation, growth expectations – and the key applications to drive growth for our business.
  • Keep up with competitor trends and develop/implement plans to stay in front.
  • Identify and resolve gaps in channel, product portfolio, sales coverage, service capabilities, etc.
  • Take part in meetings with customers to understand their requirements and seek appropriate solutions and commercial agreements.
  • Direct and coordinate activities to promote the sale of Products and Solutions in the assigned region
  • Work closely with and develop the relationships of our local business partners and indirect sales channel
  • Be responsible for the roll-out and support of initiatives to help the Pressure Management achieve its strategic plan
  • Build and deliver product and solution training to our sales force and business partners
  • Take ownership of pricing and GP of the area of responsibility
  • Champion the sales of our digital and smart solutions with specific targets and KPI's for success
  • POR development & support for the countries and export business
  • Provide best in class customer technical & sales support – both face to face and remote
  • Be responsible for the account planning management, through creation & upkeep of the relevant tools and systems
  • Build a global network of professionals, partners, and industry players, and develop deep customer relationships
  • Commit to continuous improvement: develop and supervise relevant KPIs and engage appropriate initiatives
  • Responsible for sponsoring a pro-active, inclusive and supportive business unit style and increasing employee motivation
  • Work collectively with the local and global marketing teams to develop material to support the sales team and promote our products and solutions successfully.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • An engineering or business degree would be an advantage
  • Shown experience in a Sales and/or a management role (control valve and/or regulator knowledge a plus)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, with strong presentation skills
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • CRM & Business system knowledge & proficiency.
