Join our team and start your journey today.If you are a marketing/communications professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Marshalltown, IA (preferred) or Houston or McKinney, TX location, you will partner with product management, sales enablement, and world area marketing teams to define and execute marketing activities that support the growth of the Final Control Lifecycle Services programs and Initiatives.  


  • Leverage our collective deep understanding of the Total Cost of Ownership of Final Control equipment to develop and implement a comprehensive integrated marketing plan.
  • Diligently measure and improve marketing program effectiveness by collecting performance data, analyzing results, reporting findings, and driving continuous improvement efforts. 
  • Lead the development of marketing assets and sales collateral that consistently and clearly articulate the benefits of Lifecycle Services in all medias.
  • Partner with business unit, world area marketing communications, product management, and sales enablement teams to lead a cohesive event strategy, including event coordination, demos and materials, promotions, and lead management.
  • Lead development of relevant marketing documentation including whitepapers, brochures, flyers, and support product management with development of data sheets, manuals, and other technical documents as applicable.
  • Manage and evolve the relevant web presence including website content and design, online product catalog, and ongoing measurement of web performance.
  • Support appropriate new product development (NPD) process as the marketing / communications representative and collaborate with product management and sales enablement to execute promotional plans for new product releases.
  • Assist with internal communications, sales training, and competitive intelligence initiatives in close collaboration with product management and sales enablement teams.
  • Assist with customer engagements when appropriate and manage library of relevant customer-facing presentations.
  • Assist with market analysis, market research, and voice of customer research as applicable to inform marketing strategies.

  • Bachelor's degree in a marketing, engineering, and/or business-related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Solid understanding of various marketing disciplines, integrated marketing, communications & media relations, product management, and sales enablement.
  • Must have digital marketing experience.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent project management and prioritization skills; well-organized and detail oriented.
  • Excels at self-managing workload and executing multiple concurrent projects to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to lead colleagues by influence (often virtually), and comfortably engage with customers at decision-making levels.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization to meet milestones.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including international up to 10% (Post COVID restrictions). 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.      

  • A minimum of 5 years' related marketing experience preferred.
  • Proven success leading marketing activity for a B2B software solution, preferably targeting industrial manufacturing audiences at both plant and executive levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and marketing automation and project management applications including Eloqua, Percolate, CoreMedia, and others.
  • An emphasis in digital marketing or MBA is a plus
