Join our team and start your journey today.If you are an Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Pittsburgh, PA location, you will will take a key role in the design, development and delivery of new Combined-Cycle optimization and control room automation solutions using proven optimization techniques, advanced Process control and statistical tools.
 
AS AN ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 

  • Manage assigned projects including budgeting and forecasting if required.
  • Implement advanced applications and digital transformation solutions while working closely with other Ovation Advance Application group members including global engineering centers

  • Provide support to the projects pursuit team for Optimization and Control Room Automation offers

  • Provide sales and marketing support
  • Develop, test and validate new strategies supporting the growth of advanced applications and digital transformation

  • Suggest and put in motion improvements fro products and processes

  • Fully understand and support department quality objectives
  • Develop and Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Monitor customer satisfaction throughout execution and deliver top-notch results

  • Identify and support opportunities for business growth in the Digital Transformation field

  • Provide technical support and mentor less experienced engineers

  • Lead engineering activities on multiple projects
  • Perform customer FAT's and SAT's
     
WHO YOU ARE:

 REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years experience 
  • Skills in project and customer management
  • Interest in growing the advanced control and digital transformation initiative
  • Interest in Advanced Process Control and other Control Room Automation applications  
  • Position requires 10% -20% travel  
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States -

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  
  • Basic familiarity with power plants - knowledge of Combined Cycle plants considered
  • Analytical skills with an interest in taking repetitive operator actions and building automatation of such actions
