This Accounting and Finance co-op position will be working in the Fixed Assets and Project Accounting department. Primary responsibilities include working with project originators to gain approval for, resolve issues with, and enter receipts for capital projects. This position will also communicate with buyers to review, resolve issues with, reject, and approve purchase orders for capital projects. Secondary responsibilities include working closely with the FAPA team to support the administrative needs of the department. This can include, but is not limited to entering capital projects into Oracle, placing assets into service, compiling reconciliations for the FAPA sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger, completing web adi's and journal entries as needed to perform account reclasses or corrections, scanning, indexing, and filing of projects.
AS A CO-OP FINANCE YOU WILL:
- Gain approval for, resolve issues with, and enter receipts for capital projects
- Communicate with buyers to review, resolve issues with, reject, and approve purchase order for capital projects
- Enter projects into Oracle
- Scan and index projects into OnBase
- Create folders with labels to file project originals
- Participate in compiling and completing sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations
- Create journal entries and web adi's for reclasses and corrections

- Undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Ability to work the required schedule (Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM) during the scheduled term.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Strongly prefer a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Sophomore or higher class status preferred.
Strong oral and written communications skills, analytical and decision making skills, and PC skills including Microsoft Office.
