You will:

  • Start with an existing book of business which you'll grow through expansion and new business development.
  • Work across marketsand sell any products and services within Digital Realty's footprint.As long as the prospect is based within North America and is below $50 million in revenue, you're free to pursue their business.
  • Expand your skills and experience as you learn the data center industry and our colocation products.
  • Have the support of a sales engineer on your calls. While you'll need to be able to speak effectively to technical people, the sales engineer will serve as a technical SME, leaving you free to do what you do best-- sell.

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Commercial Sales Executive opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelors degree required
  • 3-5 years of related experience preferably in the data center, telecommunications, IT, or technology fields
  • Strong solution selling and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to conduct presentations to a variety of levels and titles, both internal and external, and build strong business relationships
  • Proven expertise in developing relationships from cold calling or networking activity
  • Ability to effectively learn technical products, services and solutions and readily apply knowledge
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and effectively forecast both short- and long-term sales cycles
This is primarily a telemarketing role with limited and mainly local travel.You won't travel to customer sites but will be doing customer tours. We have active protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all employees. For the time being, you will work remotely, although you may come into the Dallas office for initial onboarding and training. We plan to return to the office full-time on September 1st, 2021.
