Deloitte\nis aggressively acquiring, developing and scaling alternative business models\nsuch as Intellectual Property-based (“IP-Based\") businesses to complement\nthe traditional services offerings across the core functions of consulting,\nadvisory, tax and audit. IP-based businesses offer client's technology,\ncontent, data or analytic solutions with recurring subscription revenue\nbusiness models. The combination of IP-based businesses with Deloitte's\ntraditional service offerings are referred to as “Hybrids”. The Hybrid Finance team is a relatively new\nteam that owns the centralized transactional activity of Order to Cash and\nRecord to Report processes across all alternative business models at Deloitte.\n\n
The\nSenior Accountant in Hybrid Finance performs accounting and analysis functions\nand coordinates the period-end and year-end closes, journal entries, and regular\naccounting reconciliations. The Senior\nAccountant is responsible for developing, preparing and delivering complete and\naccurate financial statements for multiple Hybrid Business units. Good communication skills are required to\nanalyze and present monthly financial reports and metrics to senior\nleadership. The Senior Accountant\ninteracts with the broader finance team to ensure timely and accurate\ntransactions to recognize revenue for Hybrid businesses, and will be involved\nin documenting processes, procedures and implementing best practices across the\ngroup. The Senior Accountant also may be\ninvolved in new acquisitions to document accounting processes and integrate the\nacquisition into the Hybrid reporting packages for stakeholders and\nleadership.
Tasks\nand responsibilities include:
Prepares\nmonthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and\nsummarizing financial and account information and distributes financial reports\nto senior leadership
Performs\nperiod-end and year-end close processes, books journal entries and provides\nappropriate detail level review and analysis
Conducts\nregular process/procedure and controls reviews to ensure that financial results\nare complete and accurate
Analyzes\nfinancial information to recommend or develop procedures; provides strategic\nrecommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
Identifies\nand resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Reconciles\nvarious general ledger accounts including deferred revenues
Calculates\nand records Capitalize Software in accordance with GAAP
Performs\nother job-related duties as assigned
The Hybrid Finance team manages\nDeloitte's alternative business model businesses as we rapidly grow our client\nofferings. We are a tightly knit high-performing team, pride ourselves on\nexceptional service and the ability to build long-term, mutually beneficial,\ntrusted partnerships.
Experience\nwith entire Microsoft Office Suite, including expert Excel Skills
Ability\nand willingness to travel on a limited basis as needed
Strong\nwritten and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's\nDegree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline preferred; Minimum of 2-4\nyears' experience handling month end close and financial reporting\nresponsibilities
CPA\nor CPA candidate a plus
Knowledge\nof MS AO Reporting or Tableau
